The Election and Wall Street Corruption

The GOP field is finally starting to take shape with the formal announcement that Herman Cain will be in and Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels will not be joining the party. Herman Cain was on Fox toady where he laid out some of his plans as the potential next president. He made a smart and wise move by not saying what he would do with the Mid East saying that he feels it is best to wait to make a well informed responsible decision once he has all the information. Of course he will not be granted access to the classified information or able to meet with military advisers until after he wins the election. This is a very intelligent move I believe because no voter wants to hear made up plans by candidates. I think he is smart for speaking the truth; that he does not yet know what he would do because he does not have the information that is needed to make the right decision for America. It pleases me that finally a politician says what he is really thinking rather than saying what he/she thinks the people want to hear, because the truth is that the people want the truth not some made up garbage. I think it is going to be a close race for the republican nomination and it will be interesting to see how it plays out. The next major debate is in New Hampshire in a few weeks, (I think) .
The story of the spies that were arrested in Iran over the weekend has seem to have disappeared, not surprising I know. The only fact that I could dig up was that it was 24 not 30 that were arrested, with a total of 42 names coming up in the network of spies. The story has even been wiped off the CNN website, very strange, but I'll keep looking.
A tornado swept through KS last night, leaving one dead and a couple dozen homes destroyed. The threat of bad weather continues and the flooding continues along the Mississippi. Also the number of Hurricanes, experts say, is going to be more than last year with more hitting the US. Its going to be a wild ride this year and I hope that not to many people are impacted by this. I hope that everyone prepares for the storms and stays safe.
An issue that I would like to bring up now is Wall Street. It is the people that run Wall Street that caused the American economy to spiral out of control in the latest recession. I'm speaking of S&P, Goldman Sachs, and JP Morgan Chase. They were giving everyone loans when they new a large percent of them would not be paid. Why would they do this? Because they executives that ran these companies were profiting form people not paying their loans. They were actually betting that the loans would not be paid. How were they allowed to do this? Because the FED Chairman Ben Bernanke was in on it. He kept the government form regulating the industry for this specific reason, why else would he take a huge pay cut to take on the job. It is time that we call on Congress to regulate the industry so that the people do not have to suffer through another recession again. While in this recession, the top executives at these firms were getting millions in bonuses every year. One of the bonuses was around 50 million dollars while the average person was losing there house to foreclosure and bankruptcy. S&P was behind most of it. They were giving every loan a triple A (AAA) rating allowing everyone even the people that had no business getting a loan to acquire one anyway. I urge everyone to watch the movie Wall Street because it does a good job of depicting how it actually all went down.

President Obama's speech on Thursday did not offer much new information and plan on anything. The one new thing that he brought forward was a call for Israel to go back to the 67 lines with Palestine. Aside from the fact that the Jewish state would not be able to defend itself, I think that it is absurd for the United States to tell another country how they should handle a situation and calling them to give up the land that they had fought for over many years. After all the US did take the Indians land and have never thought to give it back. Yeah there are reservations but that's not giving their land back that's just telling the Indians where the can live. Then Friday the Israeli Prime Minister is at the White House and makes the Obama look like a complete idiot (as he should have done) on International TV. That meeting was comical to watch. The United States needs to stay out of the Middle East. Who cares if they want to kill each other indefinitely? Let them! We should focus our money on defense instead of offense. THe government should commit more resources to protecting citizens at home by spending the trillions that we have spent on fighting the Mid Easts wars on protecting the border and crime prevention inside the country. We can keep the people out that do not belong here if the resources were made used properly.
Secondly, I have not heard Obama say much on the flooding along the Mississippi. IS this his Katrina? President Bush was critized for showing up a few days late after Hurricane Katrina, but Obama has not been to the flooded areas yet even though he knew this was coming days in advance. It seems like our government has lost track of what they need to be doing. They are worried more about the Middle East and how others view America, instead of how America views America. Americans need their government to preform right now to help pull us out of the slump that we are currently in. It seems as though Obama wants to focus on the Middle East instead of the economy and the American peoples pocketbooks. If we took all the money spent on the Middle East over the past ten years, from troops, to aid, to bullets and bombs, and instead of wasting it on the Arab world, and handed it out to every American citizen then we would be the wealthiest country once again. I have not done the math, but I would say with confidence that every person young and old would be at least $1 million richer than we are today. That would fix the economy. However this will not happen because then how is the government suppose to control the people as they are doing now?
The debt just keeps on growing for the government and isn't going to slow down anytime soon. Who's is getting the bill? Why the American taxpayer of course. It's like a dad giving his baby girl his credit card and her running up a huge bill and then saying its ok, daddy will pay for it. Well it is time that we took the card away from our daughter and punish her. Her being the government. Im calling for the government to be overhauled, but not by those in the government because they are the ones creating this mess. As the American people it is our right and our duty to take back our government. We need to get it under our control again. Im not saying lets take to the streets and start riots. We are civilized enough to do it peacefully. Simple do not vote for the fat cats anymore. Listen to what the people our saying before you just decide I am democrat or republican. THen if they do not do as they promised you on the campaign hold them accountable call for a change, whether its election time or not. We can no longer afford to sit back and let them get away with these crimes. They are stealing our money legally but only because we allow them to. I believe everyone should stop paying and filing for taxes. They already take our money out of our paychecks off the top. That means most of your work is for the government not for your family. If I have to be accountably for my own debt, then I say let the government be accountable and pay for their own as well.
In other news, Iran arrest 30 alleged US spies. Not much has come out on this story just yet, but it will be interesting to see how these men are handled. Now how does the hikers that went into Iran look. The look a little it more guilty, do't they. Im not saying they are but you have to understand Iran's suspicion now. The United States would do the same thing if they found spies to be working in our country and eventually they would be sentenced to either life in prison or death. I hope that this does not happen to the men that were arrested in Iran, but if it does I would understand the actions because we would do the same. Im not saying I want that to happen to Americans but I would have to understand the actions taken by that country. I am curious to see if that will escalate into another war in the Middle East because we can not afford that to happen. I hope that they all escape home safely.
THe doomsday that Camping has said will happen, has not once again happened. Remember '94. I think this is all a big scam. This man made $18 million a few years back using this message, but you can't fault him for making a buck. It is the people that gave him the money that I find to be the biggest jokes out there. Im going to start saying the world will end at the start of the year next year. maybe I'll make $1 million, I would be ok with that and I wouldn't care what anyone said about me, so what if I am wrong. My pockets would be full. Haha! I say all the more power to the man, it was a good business startegy, so what if the man looks like hes already dead he is one rich person living the dream. My question is, Is he as nutty as the people that listen and gave their money to him?
The Republican field has a lot of good candidates in it so far. I'm interested in what Hermain Cain has to say and will be watching him closely, however it is way to early to say who is the favorite, whos is going to win, or who I personally favor because not enough has come out on them quite yet.

Immigration and a Great Flood

Now that the hype of killing bin laden is dying down we can start discussing the real issues again. immigration has been a big issue for a long time now and its time that something is done about it. I think the our borders need to be more secure, all of them not just the southern one. However, this is the area that is cuaseing the greatest problem right now. Everyday hundreds of illegal aliens are simply walking across the border becuase they want to live a better life. Can you blame them with the violence in Mexico. I am not against immigration, but I am against illegal immigration. The process to become a citizen should be overhauled to a point where it makes it easier to become a citizen. This is America and it is the home of the free, which means we should allow everyone to come to this great country of ours. (Maybe thats why the world hates America so much, we won't let them in????) I am not saying just let them walk in, but if they can pass a comprehensive background check and learn a little about our culture (how we don't just kill people for just anything, or cut someones hand off if they steal something) and our laws then they should be put on a probationary period to become a full citizen. If they fuck up during that period, they should be thrown in prison and then deported after their sentence. I think a test of the laws and regulations and customs of our country should be designed so everyone who comes here knows how to act civilized. The test should move away from the one that we did back in high school where the teacher gives you an example of the test that immigrants are made to take. It asked more questions about the history and not very many about the laws, which I think would be more appropriate. Secondly, we need to protect the border better, including more funding, mor technology, more man power, and more awareness. If we were not spending money on other countries civil wars, we could be using it to protecting our own country. We could use the billions we would be saving to increase security at airports as well and make that security more streamlined. Im not saying make it faster just to get people through the gates faster, but we can be secure without a long delay if more energy was put into this security. Now, the immigrants that are here should all be deported if they haven't paid taxes like the rest of us Americans. Then after they are returned to there countries, they should get a chance to come in legally and pay taxes that are owed to them as well as a fine for the time spent here previously.
The flooding that is going on along the mighty Mississippi is devasting communties and farmland. The Army Corp blew up levies and destroyed farmland and I have not yet heard that these farmers are going to be paid compensation for there loses as they should be. Yes, it was a good idea to save towns by diverting the excessive water, however they just destroyed others lands and others lively hoods in the process. We all need to pull together and help all of our fellow Americans that have been impacted by the flooding and tornadoes already this season. There really is nothing anyone can do to prevent nature from running its course, but we can help with the recovery effort.
So far in the republican presidential campaign, I think that although he has no experience in Washington, he would be the best candidate so far. He connects with the people (kinda like Obama back in 08 but more but more so because he is one of the people, not a politican) in a way that people understand. He may not have the solutions to all the problems right now, such as national security, but thats because he is not given all the info he needs to make a clear choice. Which he admitted during the debate. This shows he isn't just blowing smoke. He knows that he can't speak on certain things because he just doesn't know, yet and hes not like other politicans that just bull shit the people and make things up just because it sound good. He seems like a candidate that can lead the country to where it needs to go. I think he is the best voice for the American people. He has great ideas that can actually make a change in the country if they were implemented. I haven't made my mind up yet or anything but I would defently like to hear more from him. Let me know.

What happens Now that Osama is gone?

I congratulate Obama and the Navy Seals, the intelligence services and the entire military for killing of Osama Bin Laden. He deserves to rot in hell next to Hitler and Stalin. However, we can not forget that he was not the one that carried out the terrorist acts, which means there are more enemies of this country out there that will kill Americans at any chance. Not to mention the war next door that seems to be spilling over into the southern states. Of course im talking about Mexico. The violence is increasing each and everyday becuase of the drugs. I think one solution to decrease the violence is by legalizing weed. There are estimates that the cartels make up to $60 billion a year of the drug. if it is legalized there would be no need to buy it illegal and Americans would not have to get it from these dangerous cartels. IT would create a new bussinesses, create jobs and would be an extra income of taxes. The government could control it just like cigs and alcohol. Set rules anr regulations. The violence would decrease dramatically because these cartels would no longer have the funding that they need to run this drug war. I forsee Mexico being a major problem in the coming years if something is not done about it.

What happens now?

Now that Obama is going around the country "spiking the football" about bin laden, what is next? What should he be focusing on? Jobs, school, the economy, the national debt? How about all of the above. The government that we have elected has failed to do its job and the only people that it is hurting is the average American citizen. $4 for a gallon of gas. Are you serious? We have oil in this country, probably enough to last us for a long while. If the government would allow us to drill in our country like the middle east countries do we would once again be the richest country on the planet. This would also cut the fundings of the terrorist signifcantly. Why does the government not want this to occur? Because through lobbyists and other ways, the members of the government are profitting from these prices. Democrats and Republicans alike are to share the blame. It is not just Obama's administration, it has been going on for a long time. The average government offical isn't in politics to make a change or difference in OUr country. They just look out for there own best interest; making their personel bank accounts larger and get relected so they can continue to do so. I think that the American people need to wake up and elect people who will actually do what they say and make a positive change for the USA! One thing we can do to reduce the debt for instance: Stop fighting other peoples wars. Unless of course we can profit from it by taking their oil supplies or make them pay for the war themselves. We should also cut all foreign funding, why are we giving Pakistan billions of dollars every year? Just so they can fund terrorists. Yes, I agree that we should have gone after the people responsible for the 9/11 attacks, but not just the group, also all of the countries that are allowing these men to reside in. We need to elect people that can see these points clearly and are not blinded by money and greed. If we are going to war with a country like Iraq and we bomb the hell out of it, why are we, the taxpayers, the ones who have to pay to rebuild it? I say let them rebuild there own country. No one helped us out after the civil war in our country. Why should we get involved in others civil wars. Let them fight and stand up for themselves. Save our text money on more important issues such as National Security, more defense systems, better schools, keeping jobs here, and infastructure. Things need to change, and Obama has not lived up to his promise of change for the last two and a half years, so I think it is time for another change at the top.
